You can learn on this one day course, how to:
- Draw a rough sketch -
you do not need to be an artist ! - Apply to your fabric
- Adapt your (or our) sewing machine
- Draw out your design with the machine
- Colour in details
- Add surface detail
- Applique
- Embellish to complete your design

If you have never used a sewing machine before, you need to have attended the Sewing Machine Day first.
If you’ve never used your sewing machine to draw, embellish and embroider, then you’re in for a treat!
We will teach you the ins and outs of freehand machine embroidery & applique! (It’s like two classes in one!)
We use gorgeous threads and loom stat calico or linen & you will create several textured, layered pieces of your own design - or ours.
They can be used as cushions, coasters, as mini artworks for your wall, as pockets on bags or clothing. Decorate with ric-rac, ribbons or buttons. All materials are included.
This workshop is for those who know how to confidently use a machine in the normal way before coming to this freehand embroidery class.
I have taught this lady how to use her machine for drawing CLICK HERE who had her first exhibition 3 months after her class here - she combines lots of skills for her pictures' now.
