​3 - Courses for Beginners or Refresher

You can learn how to:

  • Read a basic pattern

  • Insert a zip

  • Make buttonholes

  • Mark pattern pieces

  • Cut out accurately

​

  • Work with pattern direction

  • Use an overlocker

  • Facings

​​

  • Hemming techniques

  • Adjusting commercial patterns

  • Gather fabric (if needed)

  • Trimmings & apply (if needed)

  • Assemble pieces accurately​

- Arrive: 9.50am - finish around 3pm

Since I learnt how to read the paper dressmaking pattern with you, I have gradually learnt so much more by trying out other styles.

 

I know we were all worried as they seemed to be in a different language, but you helped us to understand it all & I can make so much now. Thanks for showing me the buttonhole gadget on my machine - I had NO idea I had one!
